Having a passport provides a great opportunity to travel the world. Although it may seem like a daunting process to obtain one. I'm here to provide some information that can help ease the process. First go to the Passport website and/or your local Post Office that provides passport services. You will Fill out and download a form, for first time applicants it's DS-11.
Once completed you will need to pay for the passport. The cost varies depending on services you select, such as standard and expedited. Which usually takes 3 to 9 weeks. Then you provide a color photo. You can go to any photo service shop or take one yourself. If taking your own photo check the requirements before submitting.
You will also need your proof of Citizenship and to submit that information with your application and passport photo and photo ID. Make copies of docs, and submit it to your Passport Agency or Acceptance Facility (Post Office, etc).
